Sweet, Sweet Sydney {Belpre, Marietta & Parkersburg Baby Photographer}

This little one is always so sweet. And so easy. Just like her big sister. Come to think of it, her Mama and Daddy are way sweet too.

She is nothing but cheeks, chubby writst, blue eyes and smiles. And I adore her.

She is eight months old and looks amazing in a tutu! She is a part of our baby plan, Beginnings because her mama didn't want to miss a thing!

Hot Child in the City {Belpre Parkersburg Marietta Children's Photographer}

The weather is warm, the creeks are flowing and we have taken one of our most popular summer sessions and turned it into a limited edition children's portrait event! So grab your boots and some cute play clothes and schedule your creeking portraits!

When I was a girl scout the thing I looked forward to most at Camp Wakatomika was creeking. For those of you that aren’t sure what creeking is, it’s just a reason to walk in a creek bed, cool off and look for things under rocks.

 
On our past creeking sessions we have found frogs, crawdads, salamanders and all kinds of fish! We provide buckets, nets, drinks and snacks. We will focus mainly on candid fun shots but will begin or end each session with some portraits on our limited edition “nostalgic lazy summer days” set. 

 

When and Where Will the Limited Edition Session Take Place?

Sessions will be held at a picturesque creek area in the Parkersburg/Belpre vicinity and will last about an hour for each session.  We will provide you with the session location and directions once you have paid your deposit.

 July 7^th and 8^th we will schedule sessions to last an hour there will only be four appointments available on each day so schedule early to guarantee your time slot:

2:30, 3:45, 5:00, 6:15

 

Who is this session geared towards?

This session is best suited for kids aged 4 to 10. It is well suited to sibling portraits and both boys and girls love playing in the creek!

What should the kiddos wear?

How you dress your kiddos depends a bit on your family’s personality and if you want your child’s clothing to match your home’s decor.  Clothing for boys could be as simple as white tank style  (A line) undershirt or no shirt and shorts. For the ladies, we suggest shorts and a bright shirt, maybe a cute headband.

Cute rain boots seem to work really well; just make sure they are something you would want in a portrait hanging on your wall. We suggest steering away from character boots unless you plan on hanging the finished work in your kids room or play room.

Waterproof sandals with good tread work really well too – again, make sure they are something you would want hanging on your wall.  We do not recommend going barefoot.

Also, you should come prepared to be photographed because sometimes they need a little coaxing, and anyone who has ever worked with me knows that I can't resist a sweet moment between you and the littles!

 

Do you know of a great location?

We have one location in mind but are still scouting for additional locations – if you know of a place within 15 minutes of parkersburg with great creek access that provides some shade let me know! There could be a complimentary session in it for you!

The session fee for this session will be $150, this will be due when you reserve your spot.  Refer a friend to this session and you will both receive $25 off your session fee. We will also be offering some special pricing on a limited edition storyboard and a canvas grouping to anyone that take part in these sessions.

 

No regrets

When my dad passed away unexpectantly in 2002 I did not have many regrets. We did not have any unfinished business. We also did not have a great family portrait. I have some snap shots that capture our likeness - but nothing of the two or of the three of us that captures our essence. I regret that.

I now have portraits of my mom and I that I love. I did a portrait session with my Aunt and Grandma a couple of winters ago where we giggled and teased my Grandma until we a great natural smile out of her. At my Grandma's recent 80th birthday we did an informal group portrait of all my grandma's kids who had flown in from all over the country. I don't plan to stop having portraits taken with the people that I love.

There are photographers that I admire, and I budget and plan to be able to hire them to do portraits for me. Someday I want to fly to San Diego and have Tara Whitney photograph me and my family. I wish I could do it now, but it's out of my budget - but I trust her to capture our essence. 

The images I have of my family are invaluable to me. They are priceless. They mean more to me now than they did the day after I took them. They will mean more to me tomorrow than they mean today.

I would love to be that photographer for you, but it is more important to me that you simply get your portrait taken by a photographer that you can trust, that you love, that you value. It is more important to me that you  don't put off your family portraits any longer. 

This family is beautiful. And sweet and silly. We did this portrait session on Mother's Day. I think we captured their essence. I think they will never regret having these portraits taken. I think they will always look back on this session and smile when they think about teasing their mom, acting silly, jumping around and snuggling together. They will have no regrets.

She Love the Acoustics in our Stairway

She loves the acoustics in our stairway. And every time she visits, she sings, I mean really sings for us. I love the beauty it adds to our home and the energy that is left after they are gone. 

I had the pleasure of photographing a bunch this weekend - including some stuff for pure pleasure. This was one of those moments. Arin improving. Her voice and sweetness filling our home with all those amazing things you could never buy in a store. 

I feel blessed today. Blessed to have a home for friends to sing in. Blessed to have a partner with which to share it and blessed to have the talent to capture the moment and share it with you.
