Roberts Family Photography sponsored Belpre's Bridge Day Pretty Baby Contest by offering prizes for the winners of contest. One of my prize winners came back in for her session a couple of weeks ago. She has amazing eyes and such an easy smile! She was a dream to work with and her mommy and nanna were so much fun and soooo in love with her! They couldn't wait for me to put these up so they could show this little cutey patootie off and who can blame them! She is a doll!
Roberts Family Photography brings you another installment of What to Wear. This edition brings us to the husband. When dressing a group I generally suggest starting with Dad first then working from there. Guys are generally only getting portraits taken because they know how important it is to you - most would never willingly participate family portraits except that he wants to make you happy (smart guy - keep him!)
They often need a little extra sugar when it comes to portraits, especially if this is his first time being photographed by Roberts Family Photography. They will most likely be surprised at how laid back and fun a Roberts Family Photography portrait session - once it's over - all the moments leading up to the session will just be an act of love. Being armed with this information you can make it easier on him and come up with an outfit that he doesn't feel like a goofball in but still coordinates with everyone else’s outfits. If it's been awhile since he updated his look, this might be the perfect chance to encourage him to try something new. One last thing, schedule a haircut the week before and then have him shave right before the session (if he shaves) and check his fingernails.
Lastly, remind him that the kids do not have to be on their best behavior - they just have to have fun - I don't mind when they act up a little and believe in the controlled chaos theory - anything to get a natural smile!
Onto the outfits!
Our Fall Mini Session is around the corner - we have decided on Sweet Apple Farms - we did a test run out there over the weekend and found it to be the perfect spot your family fall outing and portrait session!
So, what is a mini session you might ask? A mini session is a short version of a photo shoot and is the perfect answer to holiday photos. The sessions are all inclusive and include 3 digital files with unlimited printing of up to 8x10. We will also be offering some holiday card packages as well!

Roberts Family Photography does not run specials very often but I came across some of the cutest little boy stuff on Etsy today and felt inspired to run a special. I often hear from my mama's that super cute boy stuff is harder to come by so I always make a mental note when I happen upon something that is super unique and would photograph well.
